Seven Hills Smash Grass Volleyball Tournament

Tournament Tent

The tournament tent will say Accupoint and be located on the edge of the paved parking lot. You will see a wave of tents and hear music… follow the noise! The image below will circle in yellow where the tents will be stationed. 

Check-In

Check-in starts at 8 am at the tournament tent! Check-in will end by 8:45 am. EVERY TEAM MUST CHECK IN BEFORE 8:45 AM!!

If your team does not show up by 8:50 am at the tournament desk, then your team will not be eligible to play! 

There will be a mandatory tournament huddle at 9 am. This is where we will explain each division’s court assignment, pool play specification, rule specification, and other important tournament details. 

Location and Parking:

Timbrook Library (Fields right next to it)

18891 Leesville Rd. , Lynchburg, VA 

Parking is essential… please see the image in the email—Park in the red zones. The library asked that we don’t take up their main parking because they will be open during the tournament. Please follow the yellow signs posted along the road to find the correct parking. 

Vendors and Support Options:

We are excited to announce the following food options that are being provided by local businesses. 

• Third Wave Coffee will be selling hot and iced coffee from 8:45 am to 11 am.
• Insomnia Cookies, snacks, Gatorade, and Celsius, will start selling at 8:30 am.
• Chick-fil-a sandwiches will be offered to start at 11 am.
• HOV Merch will be available 
• Seven Hills Smash Merch will be available

We will be accepting cash and card payments for our concessions and merchandise tables. Cash is highly encouraged. 

Due to an enormous amount of support from local businesses, we have lots of gift cards, gift baskets, and vouchers that are eligible for silent auctions, raffle prizes, and giveaways. To make things interesting, each participant will receive a free raffle ticket that can be entered into eligible raffles at the start of the tournament. Please be sure that you do not lose your raffle ticket upon check-in. 

There will also be an opportunity to sponsor a player, a donation bucket, and a feedback jar at the tournament tent! 

Things to bring:

This list below states recommended items that will make your experience flow smoothly.

• AVP OPTX ball

Everyone is asked to bring their AVP OPTX ball if they have one. This will help gameplay run faster! We are supplying balls but the more, the merrier. 

Rules:

Rules will be clarified during the meeting! All games are rally-point scoring. Doubles are on a short court. Triples are on the big court. Other rules will be clarified!!

All disputes must be brought to the Tournament Director if there is no remedy is accomplished!

Saturday, April 15th: MEN'S & WOMEN'S 2's & BOYS AND GIRLS 3’s

• Divisions: M/W 2's Open, A & Boys/Girls 3’s
• Registration fee paid online at the time of registration.
• CASH PRIZE GOES TO FIRST-PLACE WINNERS IN OPEN DIVISIONS!

o   The cash payout will scale based on the number of teams registered.

• Prize packs go to First-place winners in all other NON-OPEN divisions.
• Play starts at 9 am sharp for all divisions! Check-in @ 8 am until 8:40 am.
• PLAYER MEETING AT 8:45 am!
• Please do not be late. Any team that is not on time for their first match will forfeit their match.

The tournament director reserves the right to merge divisions!

HOV Grass tournaments use OPTX as the official game ball!

Prices and Registration:

Open/AA: $30 per player/ $60 per team

Boys/Girls: $25 per player/ $75 per team

All players must register for AVP America Membership (SILVER LEVEL).

Venue Information:

The bathrooms are located at the library and the park!

Parking will be held at the library, overflow at the library, and Timbrook Park (near bathrooms).

Food and Drinks will be sold during the event!

We will have trash bags if you need them. Please pick up after yourselves.

Understand that alcohol is not permitted!!

You will not receive a refund if you are asked to leave for any reason during the day.

Helpful Notes:

Be sure to follow all park rules for Timbrook Park! Coolers are encouraged! We want this to be a family-oriented event!
