Sandbox 2022-23 Winter Series Event #1

Event to be held at Hickory Point in Tavares Fl. 

All registration must be done online and all participants must be members of Volleyamerica to both participate.  Payment is to be made onsite, morning of the tournament.  Payment can be made through Venmo, Cash or check.  NO CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  This is to keep costs to a minimum, no hidden fees.  

Saturday: All Mens and Womens divisions

Sunday: All Coed and Junior devisions

Cost:      Mens and Womens Open, $100 per team.

               Mens and Womens AA, A, BB, B, $70 per team.

               Coed, $70 per team.  A $5 discount for individual that played on the day before.

               Juniors, $50 per team.  

Time:      Mens and Womens Open registration starts at 8:00 so that first ball can be at 8:30.  That means showing up between 7:45 and 8.

               Mens and Womens AA, A, BB, B registration starts at 8:30, so first ball can be at 9:00.

               Coed and Juniors on Sunday registration starts at 9:00, and play starts at 9:30.

Prizes:   Mens and Womens Open  1st, $1000, 2nd, $500, 3rd, $250 (x2).

               Mens AA, Womens AA and Coed AA. 1st, $400, 2nd, $100 and prizes, 3rd, prizes.

               All other divisions prizes for 1st-3rd.

Please note that Sandbox volleyball does not give out prizes for last place teams.  Therefore if you are in a 4 team division, then there would be a playoff between the semi finalists and the looser, 4th place team, does not receive a prize.  In a 3 team division then only the first and second place will be rewarded prizes.  Other than that Sandbox guarantees all the above prizes.  As a long time player I understand the importance of consistency and the frustration when the payout/prizes change based on turnout.
