Please note we have been limited in the # of courts available. Please sign up early to guarantee your spot.

All teams must be pre-paid by midnight Tuesday, 10/17.   Click here to pay. Any teams not pre-paid by that time will be removed from the tournament.  No exceptions.

Open Divisions:
  • Start time (first serve) is 8 am, 7:30 am check-in.  Every minute late = +1 point for the opponent. This same penalty applies to late refs. This will only work if refs cooperate and are on time.  We have to be strict with this.  This policy will remain throughout the tournament.
  • This will be a two-day event.
  • Please send me and Rich your phone # so we can text game times/court assignments.  Players will have to be warmed up and ready to play within 10 mins of the start time. Please make sure this is a # we will be able to reach you at on the day of the tournament.
  • 32 teams on 6 courts (for each division M/W)
  • 12 courts used for the 1st round, and 10 for the 2nd round.  8 teams will be working the first round.  
  • Bracket and court assignments posted by Thursday, 10/19. 
AA & A Divisions:
  • Start time 8:30 - 9 am. If anything changes, we will notify you
  • 6 teams to a court with 2 pools of 3 on each court
  • Each team will play 2 games to 21 against 2 other teams in pool of 3
  • Top 2 teams from each pool will play a crossover playoffs against other pool of 3 on that court
  • 2 winning teams move on to playoffs

B Divisions
  • Start time 8:30 - 9 am. If anything changes, we will notify you 
  • Format will depend on # of teams
  • 7 teams max

  • We will try our best to fit you in.  
  • Keep checking the current entries to see if you have been moved in.

If anyone is unhappy with these procedures and no long wishes to compete, please either remove yourself from the current entries list or tell me and I can do it for you.  If you have already paid and want to drop, we can issue a refund as long as you let us know by midnight on Tuesday, 10/17.

  • Saturday: Open divisions check-in  7:30 am, first serve at 8 am.  All other divisions check-in 8:30 - 9 am

  • Sunday:  All divisions check-in 9 - 9:30 am, play starts at 10 am

Divisions: Divisions in red will offer prize money

  • Saturday:  MO, WO, MAA, MA, MB, WAA, WA, WB

  • Sunday: CAA, CA, CB, Juniors (Boys & Girls: 18U, 16U, 14U, 12U)

Format:

  • Open divisions: Double Elimination Crossover, Semis & Finals will most likely be played on Sunday

  • All Other Divisions: Pool play, followed by single elimination playoffs

  • Open divisions will be a 2-day event

Prize Money:  Listed on Schedule Page

  • MO: $5,000

  • WO: $5,000

  • MAA/WAA/CAA: 1st: $150/team, 2nd: $100/team, 3rd: Merchandise prizes

  • All other divisions: Merchandise prizes awarded to the top 4 teams in each division (two 3rd place teams)

  • Open Divisions: $150/team

  • All other divisions: $60/team

  • $10 Late Fee for any teams that pay on the beach

Volley America Membership is required for all players.  Memberships are $15 if completed online, or $20 if done on the beach the day of the event.  All memberships run for a year from the day of purchase.  Members can log in using their member ID number and password to see if membership is active or inactive.  All membership fees are used for the $40,000 Beach Grand Prix, the $10,000 Grass Grand Prix, the Junior Grand Prix, a National Ranking System, Regional Championships, the end of season National Championship and event liability insurance.

I-275 to Rte 60 over bridge into Clearwater, left out of traffic circle onto Coronado Dr, right on Gulfview, park in first parking lot next to Pier 60. PLEASE CARPOOL, even if you leave your cars in downtown Clearwater and then carpool out to the beach to save on the HIGH parking charge
