Ethan's Story:
Ethan Demmers is the son of a beloved teacher at Floral Park Memorial High School. Three years ago the Demmers family found out that their son, Ethan, had been diagnosed with a disease known as Duchenne`s Muschular Distrophy (DMD). DMD is a progressive, degenerative, and ultimately fatal disease. People diagnosed with this disease often don`t live past their 20s.
The Demmers` family is determined to help Ethan and kids like their son fight this disease and live a full life. The fight won`t be easy and it won`t be cheap. A family friend to the Demmers` has set up a Go Fund Me site for Ethan to help with all expenses for medicine, medical equipment, making their home wheelchair accessible when the time comes, and helping Ethan have fun and enjoy his life.
Join us on July 31 for a beach volleyball tournament in honor or Ethan! The event fee is $100/team. All proceeds go to the Demmers` family to help aid Ethan`s fight.
